Register and Native American heritage?
As far as I know, or at least what I could out of my mother, my father is full blood Miwok Indian. After my mother and father split my family next to my father my mother threatened to take me to live on the reservation if she tried to make me registered for a map of Indian identity. My mother never did and now I was 18 I would like to register and find a way to communicate and learn more about that side of my life I've never been so grow up and learn more about my heritage, problem is that I have no idea how to go about it. I have not had any contact with anyone on the side of my father or my father itself, I do not know who he was, provided they were equal to or anything, and my mother is not too helpful with information. I just need to know how to begin, any help?
The first place I would go is the official website and ask for advice those who know. Do you have a copy of your birth certificate, or can you get?
